To the Ramos family: please know that the entire city of New York grieves and mourns with you for the irreplaceable loss of P.O. Rafael Ramos. Your tears are our tears and your sorrow is our sorrow. At this darkest hour of your lives, may you find comfort in believing that you will see your beloved husband, father and son again some day. The humility and heroism that Mr. Ramos displayed throughout the exemplary life he lived should motivate all of us to aim for the same ideals he so valued and cherished. May P.O. Ramos and Liu rest in peace for the ultimate sacrifice they have both made and for a job truly well done.
