Obituary of Rosemary Eigner

Rosemary Eigner, 77 of Bellerose,Queens passed peacefully in her sleep on May 27, 2018.  Rose will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 47 years, Jack and their children, Jackie (Vince) Campisi, Christine (Christopher) Carella, Gina (Boyd) Kelly, and Lisa (Alex) Eigner. Rose will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Jack, Lia, Nicolas, Alyssa, FrankE, Rose, Hannah, by her sister, Emilia Mondiello and by her brother Lory Scotto (Charlotte). 

Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY to the parents of Maria and Natel Scotto. When she was young she worked as a secretary in Manhattan.  She loved the city and loved shopping on 5th avenue during her lunch breaks. Later in life she worked at a craft shop for many years.  Rose loved to travel and she loved being with her family. She is mostly remembered for her warm and gentle manner. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, extremely loving and affectionate.  She could not have a conversation without reaching out to touch your hand. Her affection was always welcome and contagious. 

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Park Funeral Chapels, 2175Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM on Sunday June 3rd.  Funeral
services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 242- 20 88th Ave, Queens.  Cremation will follow at Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village. Rose loved flowers, alternatively a donation can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
