Obituary of Cuahutemoc Franco-Corrales

Cuahutemoc Franco Corrales, “Temo,” or “ Franco” as many knew him, 42 years old,

grew his wings on December 19, 2018 passed away to be with the lord, in Mineola, New York.

Cuahutemoc was born in Los Arrayanes, Nayarit, Mexico to Esteban Franco de Dios and

Cecilia Corrales. He was a very proud man of his culture Cora/huichol. His roots were ingrained

in the deepest part of his being. He never forgot or was embarrassed of where he came from.

He enjoyed spending his time with his beloved wife and children. He loved, cared and

provided for them to give them a comfortable life. He was an active member of Corpus Christi

Parish in Mineola. He enjoyed spending time playing with his kids and also watching sporting

events on television. His favorite sports were soccer and baseball. He was passionate about

music specifically Mexican banda. He was a loyal man who worked for over 20 years at the

Green Cactus Mexican Grill. He was an excellent cook who over the span of his employment

made thousands of burritos and quesadillas and was always focused on the quality of his food

and service to customers. He was an excellent team mate who made the workplace an effective

and harmonious environment.

Cuahutemoc was a strong man. He had a bold character and charming personality. He

was a generous man, loving, caring, and kind hearted. He would always help those in need in

any way he could. He was very considerate of others and attentive to his family’s needs. He

was affectionate and amiable.

Cuahutemoc was also an adventurous man. He enjoyed traveling and learning about

other cultures. He enjoyed foreign cuisine and was friends with people of many different

cultures. He had a big heart enough to give kindness and offer friendship to the people he

encountered during his life. He was a man of God who believed in respecting every being and

treating others with compassion and affection.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Jimenez de Franco, son, Sebastian Franco Jimenez, 8

years old, daughter Jacqueline Franco Jimenez, 5 years old, parents Esteban and Cecilia

Franco, brothers Miguel Angel, Esteban, Armando, Joaquin, sisters, Sandra, Ana, and their

respective families.

Cuahutemoc will be missed very much by his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
