Ninan Thomas, lovingly known as Thankachan, was born as the sixth child on March 11, 1950 to late Ninan T. David and late Annamma David of Kudamala House in Kariamplavu, Ranni, Kerala. He was born and brought up in a Marthoma background and came to the Pente costal faith in 1978. After his studies, Thomas moved to Mumbai and then to the Middle East to work as an automobile mechanic. On March 9, 1978, he married Ammini Abraham, daughter of Mathai Abraham and Aleyamma Abraham of Karimkutty Mannil House, Ran ni, Kerala. They were blessed with two daughters, Sigy, married to Nibu Mathew Vellavanthanam, Kallissery and Siny, married to Stanley Joshua Ettimoottil, Konni. In 1988, Thomas migrated to the United States with his wife and two daughters and became an active member of India Christian Assembly, New York. He enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and fam ily. Thomas took great pride in being able to provide for and support his wife and two children. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up before his eyes. It gave him immense joy and thrill to spend time with them. Thomas was also blessed to spend time with his chil dren in, both, New York and Florida. On July 18th, 2022, the Lord called Thomas to His eternal home. He is survived by his wife, Ammini, of 44 years, and his children Sigy and Nibu and their son Benjamin, and Siny and Stanley and their children Isaiah, Elissa, Jonah, and Liliana. He is also survived by his sisters Rachel Mathew, Annamma Samuel, Ammini Varghese, Thankamma John, Saramma Mathew, and Susam ma Rajan, as well as his parents-in-laws, Mathai Abraham and Ale yamma Abraham. His eldest sister Mariamma Chacko went to be with the Lord in 2021. We take this time to cherish and celebrate the legacy of a wonderful husband, a loving father, a great brother, and a caring grandfather. He will be missed dearly. We take comfort and consolation in the un failing promise of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we will meet with him again on that glorious shore.
