Obituary of Thomas James Petrizzo

Thomas “Tommy” Petrizzo, born on June 17th, 1933; known as the most inventive construction engineer & entrepreneur of his time, passed away on September 10th, 2022, at age 89. The New Jersey contractor, CEO of A.J Ross Logistics, Inc., created in 1975, consisting of over 40 acres, supplied rebar and steel for skyscrapers across Manhattan. He was named “The Unsung Hero of the process of building the Twin Towers and World Trade Center back in 1970.” Tommy hauled floor panels twenty-two nights in a row, delivering 660 pieces of steel off tugboats to the World Trade Center. He loved Italian cuisine at his favorite restaurant, Stella's of Floral Park, enjoyed fond memories of his daughters growing up around his many stable horses, and spending time surrounded by his loving family and extended family. Tommy is survived by his Love & Partner Elsa, his sister Justine, daughters Joanne, Christine, Linda, & Denise. His seven grandchildren, Gina, Michael Jr, Christina, Carmen, Thomas, Danielle, & Dominique, and his six great-grandchildren, Kylie, Michael III, Robert, Lucas, Leo, and Ava; as well as his extended family members, The Cerrone's.
