Obituary of Rosa Scardigno

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, Rosa D’Erasmo Scardigno, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 96. Rosa was born on September 8, 1926 in New York, NY to Francesco and Rosetta D’Erasmo, and was raised in Italy. On October 24, 1953, she married Frank Scardigno and emigrated back to the United States where they raised three daughters and one son. Rosa would always be seen with Rosaries in hand, praying incessantly. Her commitment to being the heart of her family and sharing many Italian traditions exemplified a love her family will always cherish and has carried through the generations. Known for her green thumb, Rosa loved cooking, baking, and gardening. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Frank. She is survived by her children Clara, Rose, Luke, and Francine, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
