Obituary of Ruth E. Salmon

Salmon, Ruth E. (Craven) died on January 14, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is survived by Thomas R. Salmon her husband of 64 years, and her sister Marylou Culkin.

She was a mother of five children. Thomas J. (Patricia), Robert P. (Pam), Jennifer Zarou (Lawrence), Steven R. (Jennifer), and the late Terrence P.

Ruth was a loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 1. Her home in West Hempstead was filled with grandchildren for 25 years. Ruth took care of her grandchildren for up to 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, she loved every minute of it. Grandma’s house was where cousins went to become lifelong best friends.
