Obituary of Rufina Lydia Yu

Rufina Lydia Yu, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 82 years old.

 

Born November 16, 1942 in Manila Philippines, Lydia lived a life filled with grace, resilience and deep love for those around her. She dedicated herself to her family, raising her children with patience, strength, and unwavering support. As a grandmother, she brought endless joy, wisdom, and warmth to the lives of her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on for generations.

 

Lydia will be remembered for her generous spirit, kind heart and quiet strength. She had a special gift for making others feel seen and loved, whether through a comforting conversation, a shared meal, or simply being present when it mattered most. 

 

She is survived by her 2 brothers, Larry and Dennis Villareal, her 4 children and their spouses, Ann Marie and Thomas Marcoline, Robert and Marie Yu, Richard and Christina Yu, and Rosemarie and Michael Lee, and her grandchildren, Isabella, Emily, Tristan, Alex, Tyler, Ryan, Mikayla, RJ and Kyle. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, Renato Yu.

 

The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this time of loss.
