Obituary of Rhoda C. Brown

Rhoda Christiana Brown fell asleep in death peacefully at the age of 82 on July 18, 2025 at her home in Queens Village, NY.
Rhoda was born in the Village of St. Paul’s on the island of St. Kitts, West Indies. As the eldest of 10 children, she was raised in a busy household with extended relatives. In the early 1960’s she migrated to England. Settling in Birmingham, she married Ernest Reynold ( Ren) Brown. Their union would last for 62 years. In the late 1970’s, the family relocated to the United States of America settling in the Bronx, NY. Rhoda worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at Astor Gardens Nursing Home, retiring in 2007. She was a devout member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Rhoda was known for her quiet disposition. She was loving and kind. She cherished her family and was hospitable to friends-whatever the need she was there. She demonstrated throughout her life that her faith in God was strong. She will truly be missed.
