On May 9, 1974, Herman Harrod and Hilda Jean Morris welcomed their only son Trevor. He was born at North Shore Hospital and raised in Great Neck.
Trevor went to Great Neck North High and graduated in 1992. He began dating my sister Sandra that same year.
Trevor was smart, strong, gentle, and funny. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man whose family meant everything to him.
Those who knew him well know he wouldn’t have liked all of this attention — he was incredibly shy and private — but we honor him because he truly deserves it.
He worked hard, lived with integrity, and brought light to those around him.
On June 2, 2020, he lost the love of his life Sandra. He stayed by her side until the very end. Even through his grief, Trevor gave his all to their three children — guiding, protecting, and loving them with all his heart.
I have a few words from your family, Trevor, that they would like to send to you — carrying love, thanks, and memories that will always be yours.
** From your friend and Brother Ismael AKA Iz -
my brother you made me laugh since the First time we Met. You were a good friend to me and a good Godfather to my Son, we are going to miss you, your smile, and laughter. You are in a better place. With God. PS. Don’t forget the leather pants. We will meet again one day. Your compadre, friend, and brother.
From your sister (in law) Marysol -
Trevor will be sorely missed by all of us. My children lost a wonderful and jovial uncle, my husband a best friend and me a brother. It was too soon to leave but now you are back together with Sandra. Hold your children tight in their dreams and have God protect, hug and strengthen them all their lives.
From your inlaws and other Mom and Dad -
Thank you for being such a good father. Thank you for taking care of our daughter. We love you like a son.
A prayer for your children — Trevor Jr., Ryley, and Sasha — you will be safe. I promised your mom, I would watch over you, and I will honor that promise.
Your dad’s love will always surround you, and we will all be here to protect and care for you every step of the way. You will never walk this path alone.
Rest in peace, Trevor. May you walk beside your children in spirit, guiding them through life’s ups and downs. Your love is inside them, and we pray it will carry them — and all of us —
until we meet again.
Your sister,
Jackie

I have known Trevor for 33 years and he was always kind, funny and friendly. Trevor and my sister Sandra were high school sweethearts and then husband and wife with three beautiful children. Trevor will be sorely missed by all of us. My children lost a wonderful and jovial uncle, my husband a best friend and me a brother. It was too soon to leave but now you are back together with Sandra. Hold your children tight in their dreams and have God protect, hug and strengthen them all their lives.
