Lenny, Bestie Maria, Nick and Matt, and all the families... it is with my most sincerest sympathies I want you all to know that I am very fortunate to have met Caterina at her most humble home several times, the first being with your dad, at Maria's 30th birthday party... I instantly felt at home, tho it was a FULL house... and as always, offering and making sure I eat.... A true Italian!! My favorite, a treat bestie always shared with me, her little honey nut (struffolis) Now bestie, remember I always get food wrong I can nearly "hear" you correcting me with my deaf ears! .... Subsequent visits were always a delight, Caterina always so very warm, and after her first stroke, my heart and sunk, but she always carried that sweet smile, even from her recliner in her living room watching Italian shows on TV... Being (an American) Italian myself, I felt very nostalgic every visit... Very grateful to have had a short visit with my bestie and her dearly departed mom earlier this Spring...May sweet Caterina RIP with her beloved husband up in heaven... I love you, Maria, Mi dispiace tanto per la perdita di tua madre, era una persona bellissima.
