Obituary of Frank Stigliano
On Friday, November 28, 2025, Frank Stigliano at the age of 93 passed away peacefully at home.
Frank and Josephine began dating after Frank took Josephine, at the request of her brother Anthony, who was his best friend, to her high school dance. They were married on May 23rd, 1959, and lived in Brooklyn, very close to their family and friends. They moved to New Hyde Park in 1967, close to his family that also moved from Brooklyn. Over the years their Greenway neighbors became life-long friends. Frank and Josephine celebrated 66 years of marriage this past year.
Frank was a Korean war veteran. He worked for Con Edison for 45 years, as well as several part time jobs to support his family. After retirement, he began praying the rosary and attending mass on a daily basis, in addition to dedicating his time to his children and grandchildren. He volunteered at Notre Dame Parish for over 40 years and received recognition from the dioceses. He was a member of the Notre Dame charismatic prayer group for 49 years.
Franks hobbies included cooking a variety of home-made pizza, as well as baking everyone’s favorite muffins and desserts. He enjoyed being away for 2 weeks every summer in New Hampshire with his family and spending the winter holiday in Pennsylvania.
Frank leaves behind his loving wife Josephine, daughter Grace and her husband Marty, daughter Theresa and her husband Mark, son Anthony and his wife Susette, daughter Christine and her husband Stephen, as well as grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Tabitha, Annie and her husband George, Caroline, Frank, Mark, Matthew, Brian and Anthony, and great-grandchildren, Hero and Anya.
