Obituary of Thomas R. Salmon

Thomas R. Salmon passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, after 92 wonderful years of life.

He is survived by his children: Thomas J. (Patricia), Robert P. (Pam), Jennifer Zarou (Larry), and Steven R. (Jennifer). He was predeceased by his son, Terrence P. Salmon.

Thomas and his beloved late wife, Ruth, were proud grandparents to 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Their home and lives were centered around family, with Thomas spending countless happy hours driving grandchildren to and from sporting events—something he truly cherished.

An avid golfer, Thomas enjoyed many years on the course with his friends at Eisenhower Park, where he typically played two to three times a week during the season. He was especially proud of the fact that beginning in his late 70s, he was able to “shoot his age” at least once each year.

Thomas will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a man who found his greatest joy in family, friendship, and time well spent.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
