Obituary of Nicola Girardi

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Nicola Girardi. Nicky, as he was affectionately known to his friends and family, departed this world on February 21, 2026, in Glen Oaks, New York, at the age of 85.

Nicky, born and raised in Pietrelcina, Italy, immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. He and his wife, Vincenza, settled in New Hyde Park, New York, where they raised a family of four sons.

Nicky was a devoted husband, father and nonno. He enjoyed spending time with his wife atthe casino, watching soccer, gardening, grilling and savoring his Carlo Rossi wine. He also adored watching his granddaughters participate in various activities, whether it was their talent shows, sports, theater, or simply relaxing at home with them.

He is survived by his wife, Vincenza Girardi; his four sons: Nicola Girardi, Guerino Girardi, Marco Girardi, and Carlo Girardi; and two grandchildren: Ava Girardi and Zoe Girardi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 9:45 AM at Our Lady of The Snows Catholic Church in Floral Park.
