Our beloved mother Marianna Marando passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 at the age of 93. She was born on December 28, 1932 in Marina di Giosia, Italy. Marianna emigrated to the United States in 1954 and began her true calling as a wife and mother, melding her deep rooted Italian traditions with the best of American life.

She was blessed with a long and happy marriage to her husband Rocco, who predeceased her and was the cherished mother of her son Rocky, the light of her life, who also predeceased her. She was the loving mother of Rita (Cosimo). Teresa (Vincent), Laura and Donna and proud grandmother to five of "the best" grandsons, Anthony (Christine), Mark (Jenna), Daniel (Pilar)  Tommy and Salvatore (Toni Ann). Her eight great grandchildren Ava, Anthony, Elle, Brynn, Isa, Luca, Janie and Mac, were a pure pleasure and she loved them dearly. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who were still a special part of her daily life. She somehow found time for everyone. 

Our mother's home was always home base, and her greatest pleasure was having family and lifelong friends sit around her table, loving and enjoying each other. She leaves us with full hearts. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests a donation to the St. Anthony Giving Society.
