MaryLou Culkin (Craven), 92, of Valley Stream, formerly of Garden City South, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on May 29, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) Culkin.
MaryLou was the heart of her family and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by those she loved. She especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. Her love, generosity, and gentle spirit will remain with her family always.
Devoted mother of Eileen (Ken) Coder, John Culkin, Terry (Kathy) Culkin and Nancy (Jim) Conto. Cherished Grandmother of 15: Cristina, John, Jim, Kenny, Meghan, Terry, Kevin, Kelly, Amanda, Brian, Danny, Becky, Ryan, Shannon and Brodie. Treasured Great Grandmother of 14: Sophia, Joseph, Nathan, Camden, Gracie, Sadie, Sienna, Charlie, Jack, Craven, Sullivan, Riley, Anthony, Crew and soon to arrive Baby Boy Strong. Fond Sister-in-Law of Diane Craven.
Predeceased by her parents, Ted and Ruth Craven, and her siblings: Ruth (Tom) Salmon, Father Terry Craven, Nancy (Jim) Sheehan, Tom (Diane) Craven and Patrick Craven. Predeceased by her Sister-in-Law, Sr. Eileen Culkin and Brother-in-Law, Tom (Dorothy) Culkin.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 3rd, 2-4 and 7- 9 pm at Park Funeral Chapels, 2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, NY 11040 (516) 747-4300. Funeral Mass, Thursday, June 4th at 11:15 am, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 24 Westminster Rd. West Hempstead, NY 11552. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, 111 Old Country Rd., Westbury, NY 11590
