Obituary of Robert Bruce Rey
Robert Rey passed away, late evening on June 20, 2026. He was born on April 8, 1961.
Rob was a devoted, loving, caring husband and father. He adored his twin daughters, Gabrielle and Jessica. They were the light of his life. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and the way he always put others first.
Rob loved food and cooking for his family. He had many hobbies as he was incredibly talented, intelligent and most of the hobbies were self-taught. His major hobby and second love was anything related to automobiles, motorcycles, drag racing and building and creating things in his garage. He restored, re-built and painted many, many vehicles over the years.
He was a beloved friend, mentor and tutor to many, many of his work friends. He loved to share his knowledge with anyone who was willing to learn. Rob will be greatly missed by all his peers at NYC Department of Transportation.
Rob is survived by his long-time friend and wife, Jennifer, daughters Gabrielle and Jessica, sister, Christine White, brother, Richard Rey (Stacey), brothers and sister in laws, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
May he rest in peace forever!
