Dear Ed: It's been a long tough illness and we know you're now at peace. John and I often think fondly of your visits with Cris to Block Island. We had some fun times with you there, although the ferry rides were not always a good part of your trips! You are such a great guy -- you deserve the wonderful eternity God has for you. Love, Karla & John

Ed:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

My cousin Ed...
I just wanted to let everyone know that you and Cris have been a big part of my life. I will always cherish coming out from Queens to hang out with the both of you. I am glad I was a part of your life during the good and also the hard times. When things were getting rough for you I’ll always remember some secret conversation we would have about things that were tough for you to remember and how they worked. You would jester me from the living room and quietly ask me to show him how the remote control worked again, with you always whispering “Don’t tell Cris”. I always felt your concern with how things were getting tough. My visits with you at the Nursing Home were always my pleasure. Our ice cream and coffee time on my visits were always our best times. Hanging out in the front of the place in the sun on nice days were the best. Every once in a while Cris would sneak in some real ice cream “other” than the sugar-free stuff and that always make my day. It seemed that every one of the staff who would pass by knew you and would say "Hey Ed how are you doing”. It got a bit tough as time went by when I would come with Cris and you had a hard time recognizing me, only then to be in the middle of our ice cream time and after being there a while, then all of a sudden your eyes would fix on my face and you would say “Yeah David”. It always made my day. I’ll miss you kiddo. There will always be a little empty space where you fit in. Even though we did not see eye to eye on the Bambie Burger issues I do understand how much joy hunting brought into your life. Just looking at your picture above says it all. I'm glad you are at peace... Cousin David

Cousin Eddie: Since I was on the other side of the Hudson River, I didn't have a chance to spend a lot of time with you while we were growing up. However, I do recall with fondness the times we did have a chance to meet. I particularly remember our talks about the job you had here in New Jersey and the tough commute from New York. I will always remember my father talking about the great times he had with you at the annual deer hunting trips. When dad had his bad stroke and was no longer able to hunt, I remember how you and the other cousins took him up to the hunting cabin and let him participate, even though he was partially disabled from the stroke. I am sure you and dad are now sharing many deer hunting stories. Carol and I wish that you now rest in peace.

Beloved Uncle, You always had a smile, a laugh or a pat on the head for us. Oh how you will be missed! I find joy in knowing that Grandma & Grandpa have welcomed you with open arms. We know the 3 of you are smiling down at us from above. Please send my Dad and Aunt Cris a sign that you are ok & at peace now. It will bring them much comfort. Love you always, Mandy.

ED
You left us much too early
Tho we knew you had to leave
God needed you this Christmas,
He had something up His sleeve.
By now you've hugged that couple
Delirious with joy
They're Ma & Papa Borgie
Welcoming their boy.
God knows that you're a Grandpa
And love your little mob
So that's why he chose You to
Do a special job.
He had 20 little Angels
Appear up Heavens way
They came up unexpectedly
One week ago today
She needs a lap to sit on,
A strong shoulder for his head
God is smiling radiantly
Cause now He's got Big Ed.
You are loved, Doreen
