Obituary of Winston Neils

Our family is deeply saddened to announce our Beloved, Winston Neils moved onto the next step in the cycle of life at age 66. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 6:03pm at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Winston has been battling Pulmonary Fibrosis of the lungs over the past year with an optimistic outlook and endearing effort. His rapid decline was unexpected. His passing was peaceful with his wife daughters, grandchildren and cousin Clinton surrounding him with love and unity. Winston was born January 13, 1949 in Georgetown Guyana. He was the fifth child of ten children born to Clarence and Celestine Neils. He attended Queenstown R.C. School. Winston married Endradai in 1974. He immigrated to the United States in 1982 with his wife and children. He lived in Queens Village, NY with his wife and daughter Patricia. He worked as an Audio Visual Technician at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. After 25 years of service he retired January 2012. He spent his retirement creating wonderful memories and sharing himself with everyone he knew. Winston is survived by his wife, Endradai Neils, his children Ganesh Neils, Pamela Neils, Sharon Neils-Jack, Zabrina Neils Ford, Patricia Neils, his son-in laws, Dino Jack and Kelvin Ford, his grandchildren, Samira, Zoe, Samaya, Stepheon, Fidel, Felicity, Finelica and Princess, his sisters and brothers, Lynette, Eleanor, Bernadette, Pamela, Keith, Bridget, Lennox, and Elizabeth, his numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews, cousins, great cousins, great grand cousins, and his countless friends. Honoring Winston’s wishes, arrangements have been made at Park Funeral Chapel located at 2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, NY. The viewing is Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; service will begin at 7:00 p.m. The cremation is scheduled the following morning, at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015. “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” 1 John 4:7

Visitation Tuesday Evening 5-9 PM. Religious Service Tuesday Evening 7:00 PM. Final Committal Fresh Pond Crematory Wednesday, December 23rd; 12 Noon.
