My deepest condolences to the Manley family. I have known Pat for over 30 years and I still remember the first time we met during our first year of college. Throughout college and through our time in New York, I have had the privilege and good luck to call Pat my friend. His exuberance, loyalty to his friends and family, and his joy of life were infectious to all those around him. I still cannot believe I am writing this, but I will miss him tremendously.

Deepest condolences to the Manley family. I had the good fortune of working with Patrick at Prudential. He always had a smile on his face while maintaining a professional intensity. His integrity and heart were never questioned, his moral compass always pointed in the right direction. He was a great leader and a better friend and person. He will be deeply missed but his impact on the lives he touched will live on.

I worked with Pat for a few years at Cowen. We shared lots of laughs in and out of the office. He was a very sharp Trader, but more than that, he was a humble and willing teacher. His passion for success was evident in the way he attacked every day. The love for his family was also evident every day. I have thought of him often over the last decade or so. He walked away from this business on his own terms and chose a different path. In my opinion, a much more noble path: helping to shape future minds. We pray for Barbara, Ryan, Jillian and the whole family. Patrick was taken from them way too soon.
In our hearts,
Anthony and Rosanne Pignio

I met Pat as a teammate on the Garden City Men's baseball team. He was a great fielder, and hitter. Tremendous knowledge of the game. But more importantly a great teammate and a friend. A true leader on and off the field. For our championship game, Pat played shortstop, while I was at 2nd base. When the final out was recorded, I remember embracing Pat first, and us jumping up and down like little school kids. The moment of our elation is etched in my memory.
My sincere condolences to Barbara and the family. Rest in peace Pat. You will be missed. Much love, and friendship. Roger

Patrick - the epitome of kindness and the definition of a true gentleman. I remember interviewing with your team and you sat off to the side and nodded with encouragement which gave me all the confidence I needed. Your passing will leave a void in the world of education as well as in the lives of those you held so dear in this lifetime. Rest in peace and look over those who will miss you and continue to need you from Heaven.

I met Pat first through baseball and we became friends in high school. From the time I was about 15 to well into my 30s, I can say that my life was so much better, more enriched, because I was Pat’s friend.
Pat was a leader. He made friends very easily. It was his warm greetings. His engaging personality. When you made a mistake, he never judged and forgave. He listened and understood. He noticed when something was wrong. He was wiser than the rest of us. He was a conciliator. Super intelligent and a great athlete. When someone was in trouble and having a difficult time, he was the first to lend a helping hand.
Pat was overly generous. During summers, we couldn’t wait for Pat to get home. The fun would begin.
Having shared a summer house with Pat for several years, there was always a constant flow of friends to visit Pat. Seeming from all over the world. You could talk with Pat for hours about business, economics, business, politics, life.
Pat was successful on Wall Street and successful as a School Superintendent where he touched and benefited the lives of so many. He would have been sucessful at anything. He was a natural leader. One of the people I looked up to most. If only there were more Pat Manleys, the world would be a much, much better place.
He was so unique. So special. His loss is great. I hope his family can take some solace in how much he was loved by so many.

He was a fantastic team mate and with Pat on the other side of the trade there was going to be a high quality outcome. The words loyalty, integrity, wit and enthusiasm come to mind when I think of Pat. I can only imagine what a significant impact he must have made on the teachers and students in the Franklin Square School District. God bless you Pat, may God hold you close.

I was devastated to hear this sad news. I met Pat when he was just forging his way as as 20 something year old at Prudential. He actually helped an old guy like me as much as I taught him some life lessons. I remember him telling me about his first home run on he hit on his team. He was so proud to tell that story. Then when he met the love of his life, he was on top of the world. The fun times and sad times will always be with me. R.I.P. my friend.
