Caligiuri, Albert J., age 85, of New Hyde Park, NY, on March 21, 2019, a resident of New Hyde

Park and parishioner of Notre Dame Church for 56 years. Loving son of the late Henry and

Mary. Dear brother of the late Mary, Rose, Alexander, and John. Beloved husband of Elaine for

62 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Marie (Lawrence), Rosemary (Keith), Andrea, and

Elaine. Cherished and devoted Poppy of Jenna, Julia, Alexa, Jesse, and Fiora. Dear brother-inlaw

of Dorothy and Teresa, and the late Henry, Robert, and Cecilia, and uncle to many nieces,

nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Retired educator of 38 years. Former Physical Education

teacher and Dean of Boys at Bushwick High School, Brooklyn. Retired Principal at Amityville

Memorial High School. Visitation Saturday, March 23, 7-9pm, and Sunday, March 24, 2-4pm

and 7-9pm at Park Funeral Chapel, 2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park. Mass of Christian

Burial Monday, March 25 at 11am at Notre Dame Church, New Hyde Park. Internment Holy

Rood Cemetery, Westbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Memorial Sloan-

Kettering Cancer Center, www.giving.mskcc.org is appreciated. He will be remembered as a

man of great conviction, strong will, fierce devotion to his family and friends, and dedicated

service to his church and community.
