Bill I still can’t get it in my head that your gone. Every day I expect to see your smiling face walking in the door to discuss yet another job, Over the past year we became friends, anyone who met you knows that is the “Bill Trap” Once met, always friends. We at the ASHRAE Long Island chapter are deeply saddened to hear of Bill Artis' passing. We have lost a friend and colleague, who made a tremendous impact on our chapter, the broader ASHRAE community and our industry.
Bill's commitment to ASHRAE and to its members spanned local membership, serving various roles within the chapter, region, and society - often adding additional advisory roles to holding multiple positions at any given time. He was a dedicated member who directly contributed to educating and engaging members through professional events but also fostering community with countless LI fishing trips and YEA outings throughout the years. We are so grateful for the opportunity to know and collaborate with Bill. We thank him for his dedication, leadership and friendship over the years - he will be dearly missed.

My nephew Billy was a sweet, kind and happy-go-lucky young man. My heart aches for his father Billy, brother Timmy, and sister Kathy, as well as the entire Farrell family. Rest in peace Billy...you will forever be remembered.
