Jim. I always smile when I remember our days at American Express when we worked together. We had so much fun and it was a real pleasure to come work and spend time together. Many times I know we nearly cried with laughter when we were joking with the other members of our team. You were the BEST for me as you saved my neck many times where I would have got in trouble at work.
Probably the most funniest time was when I took you for an Indian meal as part of a diversity program, and although Indian food is a basic food in the UK, I remember your expression when you saw the food, it could have come from the moon and you would not have been more shocked. I will miss you Jim, we worked only together for less than 2 years but the fond memories of us working together will stay with me forever.

Jim, I recall when we first met in 1980 at Citicorp, Melville, Long Island. Then again 2 years later at Amex which is where our friendship began. We had great times working together. You always took things in stride and thought it through before providing advice. I remembered stopping by the office one weekend when you were working with my son who was probably 5 years old and he shut down the “Live” computer system. We scrambled and got the system back up and your creative mind came up with how to document what happened. From that point on procedures were put in place to avoid further incidents, including a design to cover up the power off button.
You were truly a good friend and a world class type of guy. You will be missed by ALL. God bless you my friend-Jimbo.
Kathy, Nino, Rebecca and the Caridi family, our deepest sympathy and condolences

Jimmy was more than just a work colleague. He was a dear friend for more than 30 years. Together we shared many celebrations together. Jimmy was always there when me and my family needed him most. He had a kind heart and a warm spirit that made everyone around him happy. Raya and I are heartbroken over this tremendous lost. His memory will be a blessing to us.

Thank you Jim for giving me my first break at American Express, I recall many fond memories of our working years together. I recall a time when I came to you complaining about the state of the network being in a mess and you turned to me and calmly said, “Conrad, Rome was not built in a day and neither was this mess”
You were always kind, helpful and caring, a mentor and a friend. I learned a lot from you over the years and owe much of my career success since that opportunity you gave me in 1996. Rest in Peace Jim, I will miss you.
To Kathleen, Nino and the rest of the Caridi family, please accept my sympathy and condolences.

My earliest memory of James was when Uncle Nino and Aunt Phil took a family trip with the younger crew of the Rocky and Edna household (Gloria, me, Guy and Susan) to the then resort town of Narragansett, Rhode Island. It was probably 1960 0r 1961, James was probably one or two. I remember us in the hotel room reaching over the playpen and playing with this really cute baby .The baby in our family, Sue, was already 4 or 5 years old. Since then James became fixed in my mind not only as the baby in his family but the baby cousin of all the 21 grandchildren of Vincent (Jimmy) Cassandro and Mary Sergio. He stole his Uncle Rocky’s heart on all his visits to Dogwood Lane. That fondness never left me and James lived up to all the attention he received in that privileged position in the family. With his father’s good looks and his mother’s good nature, he grew up to be kind-hearted and easy-going, funny and outgoing. I was pleased to read the many comments from not only family but friends and work colleagues attesting to those qualities. James will be missed. This was an untimely passing - - he was much too young - - during a difficult moment in the United States and the world. We grieve with you and wish him to be surrounded in light and warmth, and all his family touched by the memory of a good man, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and co-worker.

Uncle James was my godfather and my uncle, he was also a role model to me in many ways as I’m sure he was to many people. He was one of the most kind and generous men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and growing up with. I always admired the way he would tell a story or a joke, he had this ability to tell a simple joke that kept a smile on your face for hours. I’ll never forget the first time Adreana met him on the car ride home she said how much she loved him and how kind and generous he seemed; she wasn’t wrong. He called us on the day Rosario was born and it meant so much to us because even though he was in the hospital he still took the time out of his day to do that and it made me and Adreana so happy. Me Adreana and Rosario will miss him dearly! Love you always “U James”

Uncle James - I can't wrap my head around you not being on this earth anymore. You were and will continue to be such a prominent force within our family. Thank you for leaving us with an abundance of happy memories, perfectly delivered jokes, and amusing anecdotes. You led by example, teaching us to value family and to always do the right thing. You also taught us that showing up with a bag of candy is an easy way to make everyone happy.
I find peace knowing that you are with the rest of the Caridi crew and I'll be looking for signs that you made it okay. I wish I hugged you tighter the last time I saw you. Miss & love you always - Felicia.

Being in similar business I met Jim about 12 years ago. During these 12 years Jim and I became friends and colleagues. Jim was a 'doer'. His dedication to ICAS (held position of C.I.O.) and hard work help elevate ICAS to new levels. As someone said to me: "he's your 5 star general" ! He led by example; his calming approach to issues was calming to me. Never said, can't be done - Jim was a doer! I will miss him; ICAS will miss him. It is a great loss for all of us.
Jim was man of true love for family and friends, empathy and convictions. His 'word' was unbreakable!

My heart, prayers and condolences go to Jim and his loved ones.
There is so much to say about Jim. Jim was more than my boss at work. He was a father figure, a mentor, a family man, a human with unconditional love and respect for others. Jim was so kind and lead with grace. His jokes always kept everyone in good spirits no matter what was going on. He was a very wise man and his heart was made of pure love. He was the kind of guy that if he saw you upset or stressed, he would provide love, guidance, laughter and wisdom. Jim was truly special and one of a kind.
Jim, you will always be an inspiration to me. Your lessons and guidance will live through me and I hope to touch the hearts of people like you did.
My heart is very heavy writing this for our angel, Jim. We all loved him so much and he made our lives and days better with his presence. We miss you very much.
With Love, Tiff

Meeting you when i did and getting to know you like i did i can only think how lucky i was to meet a man of your character and feel sorrow for all the loved ones you have left a permanent mark on and the void that you being taken too soon will forever be in all our hearts. I Don’t think of you as gone away your journey’s just begun, This life holds so many facets and this earth is only one. I Just think of you as resting from the hand you were dealt with your heart, and can only wrap my head around it by thinking you gave so much of it to your loved ones and everyone you have touched in your life that you didnt keep enough for your self. and i take solice in the fact that you are in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are tears no sorrow, no days and years.
I Think how you must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And I think of you as living on forever in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost and you were are and always will be loved and missed so much.

We will always remember you Jim and your thoughtful words
“ Let all remember how life is a gift, that we sometimes forget what a great gift it is. With this we should all be more aware to love family and take care of each other being life is sometimes shorter than ever expected.
Remember the ICAS family sticks together through good and bad times, that’s a true family“
Thank you, Jim.
The ICAS Family.

Dear Uncle James,
You were always more then an Uncle, you were like another parent, another guide through this crazy world. I can't remember a time in my life that you weren't there. You always had the answer, you always fixed the problem. You always had a funny yet dry joke on hand to make me laugh and you always were supportive. Even if you didn't agree...." I will give you $10,000 to take out 1 piercing". I always said no and Uncle James, you always said "You have to respect Steph's conviction". Uncle James, I am not going to say you 'were' anything because you 'are' everything. You are generous, kind, selfless, supportive, funny, smart, creative, hardworking and everything a person should want to be. You will always be in my heart and I will continue to ask for your advice and I know that you will give it. Thank you for being you and helping to shape me into who I am today. I know that I am a better person because I had your love in my life. I love you and miss you....your niece Stephanie

I don’t know Jim on a personal level but he is a great boss/friend to my father, Bill. He always treated my father very well and my father always spoke very highly of him and his family.
Jim is an angel in disguise for my father coming to his rescue at the perfect time in his life. Giving opportunity after opportunity to make some extra money to support me as a single father trying to hold everything together.
My dad always spoke about Jim as a great friend, boss and mostly as a father figure. Although Jim was years younger than my dad, he looked up to him with all the wisdom and opportunity he provided.
Jim will be missed by all. He truly was an amazing man ❤️

I am so sad and heartbroken. I'm going to miss seeing you everyday and the conversations we had about anything and everything during our commutes to the city over the past 9 years. My memories of you have become a part of me and will live on forever. Rest in Peace my Brotha. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Kathleen, Nino, Rebecca, Joe, Leanora, Annette and the entire Caridi Family.

Jim was my boss while I worked at ICAS. He was one of the nicest men I’ve ever met, a true gentleman. Jim and I would often have working lunches. Anytime we decided on Chinese food, Jim would cut his egg roll horizontally in order “to maximize potential surface area for the duck sauce!” It used to crack me up. I suffered with what I thought were panic attacks my whole life - Jim was the one to push me to investigate it further and because of him, I found out I was actually having focal seizures and that I’ve actually had epilepsy. I have stopped having seizures since 2013 and owe that to Jim. I will miss him but know take comfort in the fact that his kindness lives on through all of the lives he has touched.

Rest in Peace buddy.. A lot of good memories from our time working together at Amex and especially from working together on Harold's house. Two things jump out; my dad's reaction upon seeing the place, and showing up one day to find that your dad cleaned that bathroom. Y'all can have a good laugh together..
Kathleen, Nino and family we are so very sorry for your loss.

Our hearts are broken forever, our lives never the same again.
My Uncle, my Godfather and a man that was always there for us at any given moment.
Uncle James, A piece of my heart died with you. I know you are with grandma, grandpa, and Andy now which is my only comfort. I can’t imagine my life without you. I will never say goodbye. I will only say that I will miss you with all my heart until I see you again.
