My soul is hurt to the core...you were always a fighter and that’s how I’ll remember you. I’ll also remember you being by my side throughout our childhood and how you always made sure I was included in everything. I will cherish learning how to dance with you, playing outside with you, you doing my hair every week, our talks, our secrets, our laughs, and our bond. I’ll love you on this side and the next. I will always remember Sandra as the loving, always welcoming beautiful person she was. She had a way of always making me feel missed and as if I’m one of the funniest people she knew, all because she found the way I would tell a story in my Dominican Spanish funny. I will hold that close to my heart and whenever I tell one of my stories in my Dominican voice I will always think of you. I am blessed to have had Sandra as a friend a sister and a super loving Tia to my kids, oh she loved the kids so much. We made many memories together, like the birthday we celebrated in the basement with one little cupcake and just Sandra Jackie and I. We love telling that story and laughing about it, that’s how I will always remember Sandra laughing and smiling. We will miss you so very much. My deepest condolences to the family.

Where do you begin to express what such a special person means to you? I have known Sandra my entire life. She was part of my family, she was a rare one too. So genuine, and compassionate. She lived for her family and was always there for many of my milestones or my children’s milestones. Thank you for being a friend and sister Sandra, a true golden girl. One who you could always get sound advice from. My condolences to the Perez and Harrod family as they embark on this new journey in your honor.

Sandra..I miss you so much. I miss our talks, our laughs, our heart to hearts, I would tell you my next ‘idea’ to reach the same level as you guys, and you were always there to support me and teach me the ways. I miss our times in the apartment, cooking and baking, watching tv. Our trips, watching our kids play and watching your belly grow each time and feeling extremely happy. You were my confidante when I wanted to get away from home. My wish this year was all for you. My prayers will never stop as they will be all for your family, Trevor, Trevor Jr., Ryley and Sasha. I promise to always be there for them. I love you sister.

To my sister and best friend of 44 years. Since the day you were born I have had an automatic best friend. All of my childhood memories into adulthood have you in it. Every milestone, every birthday, every sad and happy occasion/event had you in it. I was never alone and always had someone to talk to. How luck am I?! Now I am in disbelief and heartbroken that we won't grow old together like I always thought we would. When I look at Samantha and Trevie, I see how they are best friends, I think of us. When Ryley and Sasha look to Samantha or Ryan for help, I think of us. When I see all of our kids playing, I think of us and our childhood.
As your big sister and best friend, I will continue to be there for you through Trevie, Ryley, and Sasha. I am beyond grateful and blessed that through them I can continue to show you how much I love you. Rest now.
