Obituary of Theresa A. Ingrassia

Theresa A. Ingrassia, 78, of Garden City, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, New York. She was born Theresa Esposito on October 23, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Salvatore. After marriage, Theresa and Salvatore started their lives together in Brooklyn where they remained to raise their family. Later in life, she settled in Garden City. Theresa was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her parents, Mario and Anna (Fontano) Esposito, and her beloved husband, Salvatore Ingrassia. Theresa is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth Cuttitta and her husband, Nunzio, of Merrick, New York, John Ingrassia and his wife, Francine, of Garden City, Salvatore Ingrassia and his wife, Maria, of Garden City, New York, and Michael Ingrassia of Garden City, New York, her dear sister, Maryann Young and her husband, James, and her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra Cuttitta, Louis Cuttitta, Amanda Cuttitta, Salvatore Nicholas Ingrassia, Salvatore Joseph Ingrassia, Julianna Rose Ingrassia, Francesco Ingrassia, Christian John Ingrassia, Gianluca Ingrassia, and Matteo Ingrassia. In respect of her family's wishes, Theresa's services will be held privately at Park Funeral Chapels in Garden City. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:15 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 130 5th Street, Garden City, New York 11530. Theresa's interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, New York 11379. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Theresa to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be greatly appreciated.
