To Beatrice and John Seale's Family and Friends,
My dear friend and co-worker John Seales will not be forgotten. I am sorry I am unable to attend his memorial.
I have so many memories of John that it is very difficult to believe he is no longer with us. I could always pick up the phone and give him a call; he always answered. He called me anytime, night or day. We worked together nearly twenty years, we laughed a lot, we often fought and we often argued, none the less we had a special, caring bond. In his way John was a true giver and a mentor who wished to better all the lives around him.
His spirit for life was a true inspiration. May he be remembered for all he shared with others.

What can I say about Mr. John Seales? From the moment I started with 1199SEIU, he treated me like family. John was not only a colleague, he was family. He always treated me as such, inviting me to meet his family and giving me wise advise. He always stressed how important education was and is. John fully supported my decision to go to graduate school and would make himself available and others ,if I had questions. He made sure I had opportunities to go into nursing homes to listen to negotiations, grievances etc. He would invite me to his team meetings, just to observe and learn. I will never forget how to chart a facility.
In his team meetings he fostered an environment for learning. Many people on his team are here because he believed in them and pushed them to know their contracts and the work.
John Seales was not a perfect person, but who is. What I do know is that he loved his family and that includes his union family as well... I will definitely miss him, but I am glad to have known him. RIP John, tell Nikki, Dalton, Angelina and Michael hello for me.
