Obituary of Kenneth J. Kowalczyk

Ken met his wife Judi when he returned from Vietnam after serving in the Air Force for 4 years. She was only 20 he was 24. They met and 13 days later he asked her to marry. They waited for a year and two years later were blessed with a son, Kevin. Now he is blessed with two beautiful and intelligent granddaughters Emma & Heather and a daughter in law he loved, Vanessa. Ken was in the banking industry as well as non profits his entire career. He was active with children in Religious Education at Holy Spirit in New Hyde Park where he was known as Mr. K’s father and most recently at St. Brigid’s in Westbury where he loved working in Vacation Bible School and in the Children Liturgy Ministry, and of course anything else Judi could rope him into. Ken was always concerned for the underserved and for that reason we are requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations in his name be sent to the St. Brigid’s Outreach.
