I was Lou’s cousin, Richie. Lou was a great guy. He always saw the best in me. It always amazed me how one look from him could speak a thousand unspoken words. As I look back, it’s the little things I remember: like how he raved about how I rebuilt his transmission to anyone who would listen and how much he thanked me over and over. It means more to me than anything. My parents, John and Arlene Colan, were so fond of Cousin Lou and how Lou endearingly nicknamed my father “the Chief.” I always say you get what you give. Lou gave much love and got much love in return.
Rest In Peace dear cousin.
