Obituary of Jacqueline A. Pedone

Jacqueline Antoinette Pedone (nee Anania), passed away on December 2, 2021. She was 77 years old. Born and raised in the Village in New York City, she was one of two girls born to Joseph and Josephine Anania. Jackie loved to play in the streets of Greenwich Village, with her sister and surrounded by her family and friends. Every Sunday was spent at a traditional Italian family dinner with her many cousins, aunts and uncles on Perry St and W 4th St. She also enjoyed being a single woman in NYC, despite her strict Italian parents, where she later met her husband, Robert Pedone, to whom she was wed for 48 years. Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Bob, and her daughter Stephanie Smith, who was her proudest accomplishment. Jackie is also survived by her son-in-law Shawn Smith who she loved like her own, and her grandchildren Haley and Connor, who were her world. She was also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Michael Castellano, as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Jackie had such an impact on everyone in her life. To know her was to love her. Family and friends are invited to gather for the services Tuesday 3pm-7pm, Wednesday 3pm-7pm, funeral mass at Notre Dame Church on Thursday at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
