Obituary of Antilia Henri

Antilia Henri 101, called Mama Yaya of La Valée de Jamel, Haiti, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Franklin Medical Center of Valley Stream. She was the wife of Justin Henri for 49 years who passed away in November 1998. Antilia was born La Vallée de Jamel on February 12, 1921 to the late Dantes and Augustine Price. She was the mother of six children. Antilia had a special gift of loving everyone from her family to anyone in her neighborhood. She would cook and make sure she fed anyone who stopped by her house. She instilled that save love to her children and her grandchildren. It was sad when she lost one of her daughters Justine Henri. She is survived by five Children: Ghislaine Henri, Justine Henri, Alida Civil, Marie Isane Alexis, Joseph Henri and his wife Victoria, Marie Andre Henri; grandchildren: Kerns Civil (Johnny) and wife Cassandre, Daphney Jeune and Husband Johnny, Nadège and Guerla Davis. Marvin Civil, Vladimir Alcy, Max Henri Alexis, Mc Clarens Alexis, Zara Danica Alexis. Mama Yaya was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren. SERVICE: Family and friends are invited to call at the Funeral Home located on 2175 Jericho Turpike, Garden City Park, NY 11040, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM Friday, July 30, 2022 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 86-45 Edgerton Boulevard Jamaica New York 11432. The burial Service will be at Greenfield Cemetery, 650 Nassau Road, Uniondale NY 11553. Immediately after the burial, family and friends are also welcome to attend a luncheon at "Chez Mireille", 170 Post Avenue, Westbury NY.
