Obituary
Obituary of Nerva Mauzoul
We would like to begin by thanking everyone for
coming to celebrate Nerva Mauzoul’s life. Nerva was the
proudest, and most respectable family-man we’ve ever
known, and many of you I’m sure would agree. Nerva
was born on September 29th 1937 in Port Au Prince,
Haiti. He was the 4th child of 10 born to Silva and
Imercile Mauzoul. Nerva’s formal education was
obtained in Haiti and he worked as an accountant. He
immigrated to the US in 1966. Nerva met the woman
that would be his wife, Eleonie Jadotte in New York
and they were married in 1967. Later, he became a US
citizen in 1999. Nerva had 5 children: Nirva, Shirley,
and Milan, predeceased is Ronald and Louis. He had 5
grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley, Aaron, Tyler and
Christian. Nerva loved his family dearly and was
particularly close to his brother Willy. Our favorite
family memory was taking cruise vacations, spending
family time during the holidays, and having Sunday
dinners. Nerva love to cook, take long walks on a sunny day, and listen to classical music.
He was very passionate about his faith in the Lord. Nerva will be remembered as a man who believed in God as witnessed by his daily bible study with his prayer group. He was a generous individual that was always giving of himself, especially to those in need. Nerva touched each one of us and has left us with memories we will cherish in our hearts forever. May God bless him with eternal life and peace.
