Obituary of Lola Jayne White

Lola Jayne White, aka “Pookie” 9 month old daughter of proud parents Mary (Miller) and Chris White. Our baby girl Lola, our “Pookie” who is now our Angel unexpectedly passed away on December 28th surrounded by her adoring parents and loving family. From the second Lola was born she brought an unmatched joy to the world that will never be forgotten. As parents, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect baby as she brought us more joy and laughter than we could have ever even imagined. Lola was happy, playful, feisty, and truly advanced for her age. Lola was smiling at less than a month old, she was an early sitter, and early crawler, and loved to wave and clap at everyone. She wanted to learn every trick in the book and she practiced all day long, she was simply a genius in our minds. Lola had a contagious smile with an angelic face that could never be forgotten. Lola loved hanging out with her parents and family and was with her mom 24/7 who made it her life’s purpose to be her mother. Lola lit up at the sight of her mama and her dada and in her last few days of life would call her beloved “dada” by name. Every nap was in the arms of her mama and her parents never let her cry no matter what time in the middle of the night. Family time was always cherished and Lola loved being the center of attention no matter where she was. Lola was adored by her very big extended family (especially her grandma and grandpa) and many friends and family. Lola is predeceased by her namesake Dolores “Lola” Jayne McGratty (her great grandmother), her great grandfather Howard McGratty, great grandmother Margaret Miller and great grandfather Francis Miller, great grandparents Adele and Nicholas Lucent, John and Phyllis White, and her uncle James Miller. She is survived by her mother and father Mary and Chris White, her grandparents, Tina and Bill Miller, Ann and Patrick White, her many loving aunts and uncles including (but not limited to) Keith Miller, Megan Draffen, Christina and Mike Hirschfield, Cassandra and Jordan Spyropoulos, Reina Miller and Arden Gardell, Michael and Paola Miller, Elisa and Ryan Norell, Danny Miller, Howie Miller, Andrew and Kristine Gallo, Thomas Gallo, and Diana Gallo. Lola loved being around and playing with her many cousins including William, Stella, Alex, Chris Kate, Anastasia, Julia, Rose, Liv, Hazel, Matthew, and Margot. Most mornings were spent with Lola being sung to and playing a game on her parents bed in which she would quickly crawl back and forth from one end to the other tackling mama and tackling dada. It was a family favorite routine that we will forever cherish. Each day with Lola was truly a gift. She loved learning new tricks, playing with toys and puzzles, dancing to music, getting spun around on her dada’s head, trying new foods and often hanging out with best friend Liv. Every single night, she was cuddled, read her favorite book Goodnight Moon and heard her personalized song from her mama. While her life was cut way too short and we’ll never make sense of how this could happen, we will forever be grateful that we were blessed with this beautiful angel who knew nothing but LOVE for 9 whole months. The memories we have with Lola and her smile and laugh will forever be ingrained in our hearts. Although she’s not physically present, her soul will forever have changed this world for the better. We've loved her since forever and will love her forever and always.
