Anna D'Ambrosio

Obituary of Anna Jennie D'Ambrosio

Anna Jennie D’Ambrosio, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  Born in Brooklyn, she attended Franklin K. Lane H.S, then The Wilfred Academy of Beauty.  Moving to Woodhaven, she worked at, then owned “Vincent’s Beauty Salon”.  In retirement, she and her five (out of six) siblings moved to Mineola.  They always lived together as one household and remained close until each one passed away.  As a family they enjoyed trips across the East Coast, plays, and operas.

Anna sang Alto in St Thomas the Apostle in Wdhvn and later in St Aiden’s of Williston Park.  She was devoted to her church and God.  For a few years, she volunteered at Winthrop University Hospital and especially loved escorting new mothers leaving the hospital.  She loved children and doted on her two nephews and her great niece and nephew.

She is remembered by all as the stylish, classy, sweet, kind, soft-spoken woman she was.
