Obituary of Sam George
On January 1, 2024, after leading Praise & Worship at the watch-night service in New Testament Church located in Amityville, NY, Sam experienced a sudden cardiac event. God faithfully completed his work in Sam and chose to bring him home on January 2, 2024.
Sam, also known as "Santosh", was born on March 27, 1974, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. He immigrated to the United
States with his family in 1981 and they settled in New York. In 2000, Sam married Sophie, and they had two daughters,
Sarena and Sarah.
Sam worked for 29 years at the Port Authority managing the Coach USA terminal in NYC. He had natural gifts
and talents in the area of photography, videography, and sound engineering.
Sam was an active member of the New Testament Church and had a strong Faith in God. He had a passion for music
and ministry and served as a Praise and Worship leader at his church. He was dedicated to serving others in different
capacities, whenever and wherever needed.
Sam loved spending time with his family, going on trips, and maintaining life-long friendships. He was known for his
kindness, humor, and positive nature. He made all those around him smile and laugh.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, brother & family, mother-in-law, sisters-in-laws & families, and large extended family in the United States and India.
We will deeply miss Sam, but we find solace in knowing that he is at Peace with The Lord God Almighty.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said …“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall
live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die…”
