Obituary of Joan C. Parisi

Joan Parisi passed peacefully on Sunday morning February 11, 2023.  Joan was born on January 5, 1937 and passed at the age of 87.  Joan was ordained into the Order of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, where she served her Lord for 18 years before coming home to care for her mother. After leaving the Order, Joan continued her teaching career at local parochial schools, culminating with her retirement from Cure of Ars Catholic School in Merrick. She lived a long, happy and wonderful life and died in her home in Rockville Centre.

Joan was a loving daughter to Mary and Joseph Parisi (both deceased).  One of nine siblings, she is survived by her sister, Theresa Caligiuri (John- deceased) and her sister-in-law Dr. Mary Parisi.  She was also a loving Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to many and loved by all.  Joan was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Dominic (Barbara), Robert (Camille) and her sisters, Mary (Dominic), Rose (Samuel), Sr. Helen and Josephine (Ralph).
