Obituary of Julia Ann King
Julia Ann (Judy) King passed away on April 27th at the age of 83. She was born on February 24, 1941.
Judy grew up in Brooklyn, the second youngest of 11 children, a daughter of Irish immigrants, Richard and Anna (McHugh) King from the
County Mayo.
She and her husband, James Henry King, raised their family in Baldwin, NY and were members of St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church and
she was most recently of Garden City, NY and Saint Anne's Catholic
Church.
She will be remembered for having a creative mind, a great sense of humor, an infectious smile and a fighting spirit; while being a compassionate and tireless social worker; an extremely loyal friend and sibling; a remarkable and supportive aunt; a loving and encouraging
mother; and being an inseparable soulmate of her husband Jim with a strong foundation of faith. Judy will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by Jim, her husband of 62+ years, her children James Jr.,
John (and Whitney), Theresa, Stephen Sr., and 6 grandchildren (Stephen Jr., Julia, Jack, Abigail, Shannon and Connor King, 2 great grandchildren
(Olivia and Ava King) and 4 of her sisters (Marion O'Donnell, Peggy
Boyle, Barbara King and Eleanor Berge).
Visiting Hours: Tuesday, April 30th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 9:00
PM at the Park Funeral Chapel on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park. Funeral: Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic
in Garden City.
Interment: St. Charles / Resurrection Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY
