Obituary of Marie Louise Joseph
Our beloved Marie Louise Joseph passed away on May 18, 2024. Born on June 15, 1920 in St. Suzanne, North East of Haiti to her late parents NaJean Joseph and Cherilia Chery. She was the only surviving member of 7 siblings. Marie Louise Joseph is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mathurin Gustave whom she was married to for over 70 years, her daughters Marie Suzanne Gustave and Juliette Gustave, her grandson Tijanjan & Myrtho “Papouche” Siffra and her great grandson Jharrel Zaine Dovil Franco.
Manman, as she was fondly called, was a beacon of warmth and wisdom. Marie Louise Joseph was a hardworking woman who dedicated herself to her family. She treasured the time spent with her loved ones and created unforgettable memories. She accepted everyone with an open heart, open arms, and a perpetual smile. As a mother she provided unwavering love, guidance and support, always being a pillar of strength for her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did and her absence will forever be felt.
Marie Louise Joseph is survived by her daughters, Paula Gustave Joseph, Kaetlie Gustave Jasmin, Mirlande Gustave Volcy, and Clara Gustave. Her grandchildren, Stanley Siffra, Talma Joseph, Tarsha Joseph, Jean-Rene Siffra, Myrtha Manigat, Roodelyne Manigat, Benson Jasmin, Eldana Jasmin, Lauwz Volcy, Jimmy Volcy, Navirlene Volcy, Virlendy Volcy, Tchelby Larins, Vicunia Larins, Maginele Larins, Camita Larins, Daniel Larins, Duvens Carl Larins. Her great grandchildren Anderson Siffra, Steeve Manigat, Aliyaah Gustave, Keyshia Manigat, Shesley Manigat Jean Baptiste, Owen Meus, Emeric Saint Juste, Debbie Paraison, Naraly Paraison, Jeremiah Siffra, Leilanie Bell, Zion Larins, Camille Laurent, Anaiah Amoa-Ohenakwah, Elijah Amoa-Ohenakwah, Nylah Volcy, Azarhia Volcy, Debbie Fils Aime, Keshia Fils Aime and Her great great granddaughter Ruth Christelle Siffra. She leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. We extended our condolences to the Regis, Joseph, and Gustave families.
