Obituary of John Charles Grima
John Charles Grima passed away on October 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and adventure. With degrees in business and science, John ultimately discovered his true calling in Pediatric Physical Therapy, dedicating nearly 25 years to improving the lives of children. He often provided pro bono services to children awaiting insurance approval, exemplifying his commitment to his vocation.
An avid lover of the outdoors, John found joy in exploring the beaches of Long Island and the mountains of the Hudson Valley. His adventures included cave climbing, hiking, and biking, as well as kayaking with alligators and hiking through the Everglades in Florida. He cherished teaching neighborhood children how to fish and frequently included them in his nature excursions.
John graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Touro College. His dedication extended beyond his profession; he worked tirelessly to help his daughter achieve her 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do during her early teens.
Above all, John’s greatest love was for his wife, Rosie, and daughter, Priscilla. He meticulously planned weekly adventures for them, sharing his passion for life and exploration. John’s zest for life, commitment to helping others, and unwavering love for his family made the world a brighter place. He will be deeply missed.
