Leonarda Cibelli Obituary

Leonarda Cibelli passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 98. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 15, 1926 from Italian immigrant parents Carmelo and Giovanna Frosina. She enjoyed school and graduated high school. She was one of 6 children: Salvatore, Jean, Frank, Anna  and John.


She was widowed from her beloved husband Nicholas in 1981.


She was a loving and caring mother to Annette, Joan, Joseph and Nicholas. She also has 6 grandchildren: Carolyn, Nancy, Matthew, Kenneth, Capri and Nicholas as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Joseph, Andrew and Lauren.


Throughout her life she was very close to her siblings. She attended mass 6 days each week and said her prayers daily. She worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years and volunteered at The Ronald Mc Donald House.


She will be remembered for her sweetness, kindness and devoted love to her family. She enjoyed the holidays and cooking for her family. She loved listening to Italian music, operas and artists from the big band era.


She was an exceptional mother and human being and never said an unkind word about anyone.


She will be missed beyond measure.
