Do you see how beautiful my mother is...well that is just the beauty overflowing from within...I know you are resting now...after living so much,loving so much,giving so much...it just so happens you died on All Saints Day--some would say it is a coincidence,some would say it is not...I miss you mom...and now who will remember all those birthdays.?!

Dear Florence and Suzane, I'm sorry for your loss. Monique was always the vision of strength. I know she put up a good fight, as did papa. I'm sorry that there is never anything we can really do. Its fun to remember her laughs and the way her voice would rise above all others when she wanted to be heard. I loved how she told papa her mind. She was one of the few people he listened to. The next few months will be hard but you can wake each morning knowing she is part of you and is watching over you. Kisses and hugs from all of us.

Elle fut un "dame" très courageuse qui a toujours fait montre d'une grande force de caractère. Monique a su garder son sourire, sa joie de vivre tout au long de son sejour parmi nous. Nous la pleurons tandis que le navire s'eloigne à l'horizon tandis que sur l'autre bord, d'autres diront : la voici, bienvenue

Je n'ai jamais oublié depuis mon unique et dernier séjour à New York chez "Tante Niquette" la chaleur de son regard et de son radieux sourire... Au Ciel, dans la demeure de son Père, elle sera encore capable de bonheur avec les siens qui l'ont devancée...

Hello Florence and Susan, I have fallen out of 'touch' and for a ‘grand’ number of years and have regretted it.
Having only recently been informed of your mother's passing has compelled me to reach out to you and let you know that that your mom was special not only to her own folks but us outside of her immediate fold.
She had a way about her that told you that you were always welcomed in her home. I may have miss interpreted her 'welcominging' on many occasions of the standards of Bernard Eli rather than Bernard Blanchard to me she made me feel like she was my 'mom'. Hope to catch up with the two of you soon!

A tante Jacotte, Florence, Suzanne et Christine et tous les autres membres de la famille
Toutes nos sympathies! Comment oublier tante Niquette et tout l'amour et l'affection qu'elle nous donnait.Je ne veux pas être triste lorsque je pense aux bons moments passés avec elle chez tante Ninie ou à Damien au milieu de mon oncle Albert, Sergo, tante Jacotte et Phito. Elle nous a laissé son beau sourire et sa grande âme en souvenir.
